Believer in God or not?

Believe: 1. to take as true, real, etc 2. to trust a statement or promise of (a person) 3. to suppose or think - to have faith

I asked a man one time if he believed in God. He said that is a complicated questions. My reaction was it is either a yes or no answer.
I also had a man one time that didn't want to hear me talk about God but that day I just couldn't help myself. We where talking about the president. I told him there is one higher than the president. He asked who and I said God. He didn't like that much at all. I know they are not the only one out there like that. There is many more out there. I hope you are reading this blog today.
What does these two stories have in common? The topic of this journal. Now I'm not a pastor or a priest but I'm a true believer but I was not always that way.
I was a drug abusing, eating disorder having, self-mutilating, suicidal woman. I did that to hide the pain of a childhood full of abuse. That was until I got saved.
I got saved (answering many prayers from my Mom) and I dropped all of the addictions in my life and faced my abuse in my past. God healed my pain. God let me know even though I didn't have a Daddy on earth and a God-Father that didn't love me. God let me know he is my father and he loves me.
What satan uses for evil God uses for good. Going through all the abuse and all the addictions and all the insanity that could have taken my life through all of that it made me a stronger woman. A woman who is greatful to be alive because God could have taken my life anytime but he choose not to because he had a plan for me.
So how do you know you are saved and a true believer? To find that out we have to go back to find out who a non-believer and those who ride on the fence is.
I went to church almost all my life. I was even a alter girl for many years. Church was a routine. Just something we did every week. I prayed but I felt a hollow inside.
I even did that when I was anorexic. I would go to the morning mass at a catholic church after dropping my Mom off at work. I even counted the calories with the body of Christ even though my Mom thought it was wrong.
I got angery. Really angery. At myself and everyone else. My Mom and I had so many fights. I even moved out of the house into a homeless shelter for a few hours. Now I know it wasn't the problem with my Mom but with me. Your life might be as dramatic as mine but you get the point.
Look at Hitler. He killed millions of Jews. Millions of people had to die because of his madness and evil. On top of that he killed himself. He did homicide to himself and with that has no time to repent. I'm sorry to say I won't see him in heaven. I know I could have ended up the same way dead with no time to repent. God help Hitler's soul.
A non-believer don't believe in God or not the real & true God. They are living in sin and has not repented from there sins. I hope and pray they change there heart and there minds over to God.
Those who sit on the fence. They believe in some parts of the bible but not all. That is just sad.
True believers try there best not to sin. True believers know they are not perfect. That they will make mistakes and they will sin. They know that if they ask for forgiveness they will be forgiven.
They also believe that Jesus Christ, God's Son, died on the cross for our sins and 3 days later rose again. We know that Jesus is God, we know God is also the Father and God is also the Holy Spirit. 3 in 1 Father, Spirit and Son.
True believers know that hard times comes there way that they can lean on God. They know God will guide them through that hard time.
True belevers look forward to the future. They are waiting for Jesus' Return by looking at the signs at that are stated in the bible. They do not set a time or a day of his coming. They just look for the signs and wait.
True believers love God with all there heart, mind and soul. Knowing that God is always by there side in everything you do. True believers know that God loves them too and they would never abuse them. True believers know that God knew & loved us before we where even born. True believers take there faith and pass it on to those who don't believe.
Do you want to be a true believer or you still sitting on the fence? Revelation 3:15-17 says "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish that you were cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I am going to vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, ‘I’m rich; I have become wealthy, and need nothing,’ and you don’t know that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked." I hope you don't want that.
Do you want to not believe at all or want to come to know God. He wants you to. Jesus says "I advise you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire so that you may be rich, and white clothes so that you may be dressed and your shameful nakedness not be exposed, and ointment to spread on your eyes so that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be committed and repent. Listen! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and have dinner with him, and he with Me. The victor: I will give him the right to sit with Me on My throne, just as I also won the victory and sat down with My Father on His throne. “Anyone who has an ear should listen to what the Spirit says to the churches.” (Revelation 3 18-22)
God is waitning for you today. You might be wondering "how can I be a believer? Believe these words and repeat them outloud:
God I am a sinner. I believe Jesus died for me and three days later rose again to be by you. Jesus clean me with the blood you shed so they can be white as snow. Come into my heart and my life for the rest of my life. In Jesus' Holy Name, AMEN!
If you prayed that prayer congradulations! For those who didn't search your heart and soul and answer one question. Do you believe in God? God is waiting for you.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!
